Hello, I'm not going to repeat all on the Homepage but wish to emphasize where I am going with this service. Also where I am coming from!
I am a Member of the Religious Society of Friends which, therefore, helps me to try and make my life more meaningful, as I follow the words of the New Testament in trying to be a Good Neighbour. To this end I have opened up this service to voluntary groups and charitable organisations. I tell you this now so that you won't be suprised when you go looking at my sites and find quite a lot of information about the RS of Friends (Quakers). At least four of my sites are directly linked to Quakers.
This doesn't mean that I am tied down to Christian charities or barred from seemingly unconnected groups. On the contrary, quakerism encourages the widening of ones mind to all aspects of human existance. I have been involved in Interfaith movements and also in the Churches Together in Britain movement for quite some time now. I am also a very political animal! Mainly involved in the pressure groups promoting a Fair Voting System for the UK and Europe. I am involved with the Electoral Reform Society and am a signee to the Charter 88 movement. I recently became involved with the campaign to try to save library services in Dorset especially those nine marked for closure in 2012. I am also a Founder Member of an art society in North Wiltshire which has just celebrated its 20th year.They have a Blog type site so look for the Malmesbury Art Society and join if you wish. They also create a very impressive Newsletter . Register and have a look!
